Monday (Dev. Int)
Game Nights: Mondays | Game Time: 2 Hours | Location: James Bolton PS Map
Welcome to the Bolton Recreational Sports Club’s Pickleball Program! Developing Intermediate is designed for players who’ve moved beyond the basics — typically those who’ve been playing regularly for a couple of years, understand the rules and strategy of the game, and can sustain a steady rally with consistency. This program sits just below our Intermediate nights and offers a great next step for players looking to sharpen their game in a friendly, coed environment. Please note: this program is intended for players with prior pickleball experience, and is not suited for those new to the sport. If you’re just getting started, our Beginner nights are the perfect place to build your foundation before joining us here. Come out for a mix of friendly competition, skill-building, and social play, as we promote fitness, teamwork, and a love for the game!
Not sure if this program or Intermediate is the right fit?
Developing Intermediate is a great match if you’ve been playing regularly for a couple of years, know the rules and basic strategy well, and can sustain a rally — but you’re still working on consistency with shots like the third-shot drop, dinking, and net play.
Intermediate is the next step up — you’re comfortable at the non-volley zone, your third-shot drop lands with reasonable consistency, and you’re starting to play more strategically with your partner (stacking, targeting, court coverage).
If you’re unsure, we recommend starting here — Developing Intermediate is a friendly, lower-pressure way to build those skills before stepping up.

Intermediate is for players who are comfortable at the non-volley zone, land their third-shot drop with reasonable consistency, and are starting to play more strategically with their partner — think stacking, targeting, and solid court coverage. This program offers a step up in pace and competitiveness while keeping the same friendly, social, coed atmosphere our club is known for. Come ready for a mix of skill-building and competitive play as we promote fitness, teamwork, and a love for the game!
Not sure if this program or Developing Intermediate is the right fit?
Intermediate is a great match if you’re comfortable at the non-volley zone, your third-shot drop lands with reasonable consistency, and you’re starting to play more strategically with your partner (stacking, targeting, court coverage).
Developing Intermediate may be the better starting point if you’ve been playing regularly for a couple of years and can sustain a rally, but you’re still working on consistency with your third-shot drop, dinking, and net play.
If you’re newer to competitive strategy or still building consistency on your shots, we recommend starting with Developing Intermediate — it’s a great way to sharpen those skills before stepping up here.
